Mr. Celis was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. After graduating from Colegio San Ignacio he moved to the United States to attend the University of Evansville, Indiana where he earned a double major in Business Administration in Marketing and Global Business. After realizing his calling for education he earned a Master of Science in Second Language Acquisition from the Universidad de Leon in Spain and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
During his seventeen year career in education, Mr. Celis taught Spanish, coached soccer and tennis and served as a school counselor. He recently served as the assistant principal for Leesburg High School and is excited about the opportunity to work with the students, parents and staff at Clermont Middle School. He aims to support the positive school culture while continuing to improve student achievement and stakeholder involvement.
